Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production and Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our manufacturing processes at our Ikeja facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production management, operational efficiency, and team leadership. The role involves managing day-to-day production operations, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:- Oversee the daily operations of the production line to ensure the timely and efficient production of goods. 
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet company goals while adhering to quality and safety standards. 
- Monitor production progress and address any issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production levels. 
 
- Process Optimization:- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction while ensuring product quality. 
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. 
- Work closely with the engineering and quality assurance teams to enhance the production process and reduce operational costs. 
 
- Team Leadership and Development:- Supervise and lead production staff, ensuring they are properly trained and motivated to meet production targets. 
- Conduct regular performance reviews, offer feedback, and implement training programs to enhance skills and performance. 
- Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the production department. 
 
- Quality Control:- Ensure products meet company standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements. 
- Work with the Quality Control team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions when necessary. 
 
- Inventory and Resource Management:- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring raw materials and components are available to meet production demands. 
- Work with the procurement team to manage and optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock. 
 
- Reporting and Documentation:- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and any operational challenges to senior management. 
- Ensure accurate documentation of production processes and compliance with industry regulations. 
 
- Health and Safety Compliance:- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment. 
- Regularly monitor the work environment and provide training on safety practices to all team members. 
 
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification:- BSc in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations Management, or a related field. 
- MBA in a related field (preferred). 
 
- Experience:- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production and operations management within a manufacturing setting. 
- Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and quality control standards. 
- Proven track record in managing teams, improving efficiency, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. 
 
- Skills and Competencies:- Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques. 
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
