Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, commercially savvy, and results-driven Business Development & Strategy Lead to drive revenue growth, partnerships, and long-term sustainability for the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing revenue models, creating investor-ready materials, building financial projections, and navigating procurement opportunities to secure funding and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Strategy
- Design and implement sustainable revenue models aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, partnerships, and income-generating initiatives.
- Develop strategies to diversify revenue streams across programs and services.
2. Investor Relations & Fundraising Support
- Develop high-quality investor pitch decks and fundraising materials.
- Support engagement with donors, investors, and strategic partners.
- Prepare proposals, concept notes, and business cases for funding opportunities.
3. Financial Planning & Projections
- Develop detailed financial models and projections for programs and organizational growth.
- Conduct financial analysis, scenario planning, and cost-effectiveness assessments.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure financial sustainability.
4. Procurement & Partnership Navigation
- Identify and respond to procurement opportunities (RFPs, RFQs, grants, and tenders).
- Lead proposal development and submission processes.
- Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and donor requirements.
5. Strategy Development & Execution
- Support organizational strategy development and long-term planning.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor market trends, sector developments, and competitive landscape.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field (MBA or relevant Master's degree is an advantage).
- 5 – 8 years' experience in business development, strategy, or fundraising (NGO/development sector preferred).
- Proven experience in developing financial models and investor pitch materials.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, grants, and donor funding mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling tools and Microsoft Excel.
