Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Consultant Pediatrician to join our multidisciplinary medical team in Abuja. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring optimal health and development.
This role requires exceptional clinical competence, strong leadership abilities, and a genuine passion for pediatric medicine within a dynamic, patient-centered hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Patient Management

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions across all age groups.

Provide preventive, curative, and long-term care plans for children with chronic or developmental conditions.

Conduct routine physical examinations, immunizations, and health screenings.

Offer expert guidance to parents and guardians to ensure understanding and compliance with care plans.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Quality Care

Work closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and other specialists to provide holistic care.

Participate in ward rounds, case reviews, and clinical audits to maintain high-quality standards.

Implement best practices in pediatric medicine aligned with hospital protocols and current clinical guidelines.
Training, Leadership & Research

Supervise and mentor junior doctors, resident physicians, and medical students.

Engage in continuing medical education (CME), seminars, and training workshops.

Participate in clinical research and contribute to developing new pediatric care protocols and hospital policies.
Qualifications & Experience

MBBS or MD degree from a recognized and accredited medical institution.

Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) or National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCPaed) in Pediatrics, or an equivalent international qualification.

Valid Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) practicing license.

7 – 10 years post-specialist qualification experience in reputable healthcare institutions.

Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
