Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and accountable Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and manage grant funds effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, audit preparation, and ensuring transparency and accountability in line with donor and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Manage and oversee all financial operations of the organization.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure proper financial documentation and reporting in line with accounting standards.
2. Grant & Budget Management
- Manage grant funds and ensure proper utilization in line with donor requirements.
- Track expenses against approved budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Support budget preparation and financial planning processes.
3. Accounting Operations
- Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
4. Audit & Compliance
- Prepare for internal and external audits and coordinate audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, donor guidelines, and internal policies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes.
5. Payroll & Vendor Management
- Process payroll as the team grows, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage vendor payments and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is required.
- 5 – 8 years' experience in finance or accounting, preferably within an NGO or development sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, grant management, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
