Role Summary

The Head of Corporate Sales will lead the strategic growth of the company's Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Telecom Energy Solutions business across Nigeria and broader African markets. This role is responsible for originating, structuring, and closing high-value, long-term energy infrastructure deals, including Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions, with corporate clients, telecom tower operators, estates, and industrial organizations.

The ideal candidate is a high-impact commercial leader with a proven track record in closing multi-million naira deals, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in energy, telecom, or infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Deal Origination

  • Identify, develop, and pursue large-scale corporate opportunities across telecom, industrial, and commercial sectors
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value deals
  • Lead end-to-end deal cycles from prospecting to contract execution
  • Engage and influence C-level executives and key decision-makers

2. Telecom & Infrastructure Sales

  • Drive strategic partnerships with telecom operators and tower infrastructure companies
  • Structure and deploy Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions for telecom portfolios
  • Lead proposals and negotiations for multi-site and multi-country deployments

3. Sales Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Design and execute a comprehensive corporate sales strategy aligned with business goals
  • Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new sectors and geographies
  • Define pricing models and commercial structures (PPA, lease-to-own, subscription models)
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategy

4. Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing corporate sales team
  • Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Drive a culture of accountability, excellence, and execution
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams

5. Proposals & Financial Structuring

  • Oversee preparation of compelling commercial proposals and bids
  • Lead financial modeling and deal structuring with finance teams
  • Ensure deals meet profitability benchmarks (ROI, IRR, payback period)
  • Optimize pricing and risk structures for scalability

6. Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with:
    • Telecom operators and tower companies
    • Real estate developers and estates
    • Industrial and manufacturing clients
    • Government and regulatory agencies
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations and industry forums

7. Pipeline Management & Reporting

  • Maintain a structured, data-driven sales pipeline
  • Track deal progress, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts
  • Provide periodic performance reports to executive leadership
  • Utilize CRM tools for sales visibility and reporting accuracy

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Total contract value closed (₦)
  • Number of corporate deals executed
  • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) growth
  • Pipeline size and conversion rates
  • Client acquisition and retention
  • Revenue growth across key sectors

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 12–15 years' experience in B2B or corporate sales
  • Proven track record of closing large-scale deals (₦50M+)
  • Experience in one or more sectors:
    • Renewable Energy / Power
    • Telecom / Tower Infrastructure
    • Industrial / Engineering Services
  • Demonstrated experience managing and scaling sales teams
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary

₦1,000,000 – ₦1,600,000 Monthly (Net)

Commission

1% – 3% of total deal value closed

Performance Bonus

  • Quarterly performance-based bonus
  • Deal-specific incentives

Equity (Optional)

0.5% – 2% equity allocation for exceptional candidates
