HR Coordinator – Bilingual English/Spanish

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and people-focused HR Coordinator to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
This position will provide hands-on support across recruiting, onboarding, temporary staffing, employee relations, HR administration, employee engagement, and compliance. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with employees at all levels, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full recruiting and hiring process, including candidate coordination, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Partner with temporary staffing agencies to coordinate staffing requests, candidate submissions, start dates, assignment changes, and other workforce needs.
- Coordinate and review weekly temporary employee timecard reporting.
- Prepare and process offer letters, confidentiality agreements, background checks, and new hire documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Update and maintain employee information within HRIS and time and attendance systems.
- Coordinate employee identification/security badges and company uniform programs.
- Review and process HR-related invoices and maintain supporting documentation.
- Serve as a resource for employees by responding to routine HR questions regarding benefits, paid time off, policies, procedures, and other employment-related matters.
- Conduct exit interviews and communicate relevant feedback and trends to the Human Resources Manager.
- Coordinate employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including service awards, company events, employee communications, and other programs.
- Assist with employee training, workplace safety initiatives, and other HR programs.
- Collaborate closely with HR team members, supervisors, managers, employees, vendors, and staffing agency partners.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information.
- Support compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or additional HR education preferred.
- 1–2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, production, or another multi-shift environment.
- Fluent bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required.
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and/or temporary staffing programs preferred.
- Experience working directly with staffing agencies is a plus.
- HR certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using HRIS and/or time and attendance systems.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a proactive HR professional who enjoys working directly with employees and supporting a busy HR department. This individual should be comfortable moving between administrative responsibilities, recruiting and onboarding activities, employee questions, staffing agency coordination, and employee engagement initiatives throughout the day.
Experience supporting an hourly workforce in a manufacturing or multi-shift environment is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements
This position may require regular sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, use of hands and fingers, and climbing stairs. The employee must have sufficient vision, hearing, and communication ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
