POSITION: Business Development Director
LOCATION: San Francisco Bay Area, CA | 90% Remote
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time
SALARY RANGE: $135,000 - $150,000 | OTE: $200,000+

Our client is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to seniors and their families. They are seeking a Business Development Manager/Market Development Director to lead growth efforts and expand their footprint in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain referral networks with physicians, hospitals, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, and social workers.
  • Represent the organization at community events including health fairs, networking functions, senior expos, and professional associations.
  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies through in-person visits, presentations, and relationship management.
  • Track and analyze referral patterns, competitor activity, and market conditions to refine sales strategies.
  • Partner with intake and clinical teams to ensure a smooth referral-to-admission process that reflects a commitment to client care.
  • Experience supervising/mentoring more junior business development representatives is preferred.
  • Report business development outcomes and provide insights on opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive business development or sales experience in home health, hospice, senior living, or related healthcare. Prior management experience is preferred.
  • Established referral network in San Ramon/East Bay strongly preferred.
  • Proven record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving census growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across territories.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and effective working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within assigned territory.
