Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer
Location: San Rafael, CA
Work Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office

We are a well-established CPA firm in Central Marin seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting multiple external clients with a variety of bookkeeping and tax services. Responsibilities:

  • Full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable/receivable, bank deposits, and account reconciliations
  • Monthly and year-end closing, including journal entries
  • Prepare and maintain vendor files and disbursement records
  • Prepare financial statements for client review
  • Tax preparation for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
  • Work with CPA firm management on ad-hoc tasks and special projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Prior experience with QuickBooks and tax preparation software
  • Proven ability to manage bookkeeping for multiple clients
  • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Word skills
  • Experience with Lacerte tax software is preferred
  • Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
