Position Overview:

SIMBA Chain is looking for a QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about ensuring software quality through automation testing. We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of automation testing experience in Selenium, Java, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, Rest Assured, SQL, BDD Cucumber and GitLab. A strong predictor for success will be evident in a candidate with experience working with automation in testing with teams on a shared codebase with multiple releases in an agile, DevOps, CI/CD environment. This individual collaborates well with other team members and stakeholders on all parts of the stack, enthusiastic about blockchain technology now and beyond the existing landscape.

What youll be doing at SIMBA:

• Designing, developing, maintaining existing framework and executing automated test scripts to ensure product quality
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environment
• Participating in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify defects and improve test processes 
• Providing timely feedback to developers and stakeholders on product quality and test results
• Engaging in code reviews, offering feedback on testabiity and automation aspects
• Stay updated and informed of the latest trends/technologies within automated testing 

Experience & Skills to be successful:

We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in automated testing with expertise in the following:

• Framework Creation and maintaining existing framework using Selenium, Java, BDD Cucumber, TestNG, Maven.
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber, BDD methodology, Gherkin syntax
  

• Working experience with microservice testing and automation

• Expertise in REST Assured API / Middleware testing primarily using native/third-party Java libraries

• Good Understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE)

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Extra Bonus Points:

• Capability to understand database structure and be able to write SQL statements

• Good understanding of performance testing tools like Jmeter

• Hands-on experience on GIT, JIRA, Jenkins (CI/CD)

• Good understanding of HTTP, JSON protocol, parse, and syntax

• Working experience in Agile methodology / SAFe with in-sprint automation

• Understanding of blockchain general concepts and knowledge is a plus

• Experience working in a similar blockchain as a service company
