Job Summary

The Human Resource manager position is a strategic role which oversees all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The role requires a collaborative and experienced professional, responsible for nurturing a positive working environment, managing employee relations, ensuring legal compliance and supporting overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Recruitment & Selection: Manage the organisation's talent acquisition policy, procedures and processes, including interviewing, assessment and on-boarding.

  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations though employee engagement initiatives, conflict management, including a fair and objective grievance handling process, bridge management and employee relations or other issues.

  • Performance Management: Manage a performance management system to drive high performance within the organisation, including succession planning, talent management and managing poor performance.

  • Compliance & Legal Matters: Ensure the organisation complies with all HR regulatory and legal requirements and update company policies and handbooks.

  • Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation packages, salary reviews, reward strategies and employee benefits.

  • HR Data and Metrics: Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and report to management.

     
    
    Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

  • Minimum 8-10 years proven experience in a managerial/leadership role in human resource.

  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian employment and Labor Laws and HR best practices

  • Strong inter-personal, communication and conflict-management skills

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and MS Office

  • Proficient in HR Analytics for decision-making and management reporting.
