IT Senior Consultant Level 5 (Database Engineer) Columbia, MD

TS/SCI with FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Performs as a consultant in highly specialized, leading-edge information technologies and methodologies.
  • Provides highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems; Performs elaborate analyses and studies.
  • Prepare reports and give presentations. Manages the project work as defined by the government. Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
  • Develop and manage software tools in support of Enterprise Management on the Enterprise IT Operations (EITO) MASH Project
  • Develop and deploy OpenStack components to support customer requirements.
    Upgrade current regions to remain inside the supported release list (called SLURP upgrade)
  • Provide technical support to the operations team as needed to support the existing infrastructure
  • Support metrics organization in both new and old regions, using Gnocchi for new regions and custom metric solutions for existing installations
  • Conduct program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation using Python, Python Flask, and Golang

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education and experience level: High School/GED with twenty (20) years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
  • IAT I Certification

Technology:

Senior DBA:

  • Oracle Database 12c/19c and later
  • PostGreSQL
  • MySQL

Preferred Skills

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager/Cloud Control
  • Oracle Exadata

Details:

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 annually, commensurate with skill set, experience, security clearance level, and educational qualifications.
