Technical Product Lead

The Role

Were hiring a Technical Product Lead to own and scale our E-commerce engine. This role blends engineering leadership, product strategy, and commercial impact. You'll bridge complex backend ecosystems (ERP, WMS, Payments) with a seamless, high-converting frontend experience — driving revenue, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership – Lead and mentor the development team; enforce code quality, modern CI/CD, and scalable architecture best practices.
• Technical Product Ownership – Define and execute the technical roadmap, prioritising revenue-driving features (e.g., digital wallets, AI recommendations, advanced search).
• Conversion Optimisation (CRO) – Partner with Marketing to remove friction in the customer journey and reduce cart abandonment.
• Performance & Scalability – Own site speed, uptime, and infrastructure readiness for peak traffic events (e.g., Black Friday, flash sales).
• Systems & Integrations – Manage and optimize integrations across WMS, payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Adyen), and CRM/email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Omnisend).
• Vendor & Cost Management – Evaluate third-party SaaS tools and agencies to ensure scalable, cost-effective technology decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years in software development, including 2+ years leading teams in high-volume E-commerce environments.
• Strong experience with platforms such as Magento/Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, or headless stacks (React/Next.js).
• Commercially driven mindset — balancing clean architecture with business impact.
• Strong data literacy; ability to leverage analytics tools and SQL to identify conversion bottlenecks.
• Clear communicator who can translate technical strategy and debt into business outcomes.
