Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network & Security Engineer to support the delivery, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise network and security environments. This role requires a technically strong professional who can manage operational support activities, troubleshoot complex incidents, and work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure secure, stable, and high-performing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Security Operations

  • Provide day-to-day support for enterprise network and security infrastructure.
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain network and security environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of operational processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in the delivery of managed network and security services to meet agreed service standards.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network and security-related issues.
  • Participate in major incident response activities and support critical issue resolution.
  • Drive proactive problem management initiatives to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations for priority incidents when required.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with customers, ICT teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide regular operational updates and communicate incident progress and resolutions.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach to customer support.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through responsive and professional service.

Preventative Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform preventative maintenance activities across network and security environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain operational reports and contribute to customer service review meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and service improvements.

Knowledge Management & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and support knowledge bases.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge management practices.
  • Share technical knowledge and collaborate with team members to improve operational effectiveness.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting enterprise network and security environments.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networking, and network security technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network and security incidents.
  • Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service delivery environments.

Certifications (Preferred/Essential)

Candidates should possess current certifications in two or more of the following areas:

  • Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent)
  • Fortinet Certifications (NSE7 or equivalent)
  • Juniper Certifications (JNCIA, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certifications (PCNSE or equivalent)
  • ITIL Certification (Essential)
