Job Overview:
Were looking for a Lead Quality Automation Engineer to join a fast-growing digital tech team working with global clients in education, healthcare, and manufacturing. Youll lead quality efforts across web, mobile, and API testing, ensuring smooth integration into agile development cycles.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis

  • Review and understand requirement specifications (stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback to improve clarity and testability.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Develop detailed test plans and test cases.

  • Estimate test effort for new features and updates.

  • Prioritize and execute testing based on project deadlines.

Test Types Coverage

  • Carry out multiple testing types including:
  • Smoke Testing
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • UI Testing
  • Browser/OS Compatibility Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Manual and Automated Mobile Testing
  • API Testing

Test Automation

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts for:
  • Web apps (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
  • Mobile apps (e.g., Appium)
  • APIs and backend services
  • Collaborate with Dev and DevOps teams to embed automation in CI/CD pipelines

Defect Management

  • Log and track bugs with proper documentation and steps to reproduce

  • Communicate issues clearly to developers and stakeholders

Test Environment Management

  • Maintain test environments and ensure data consistency and stability during test cycles

Requirements:

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Software Engineering, or related field

Automation Experience

  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Appium)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail)
  • Solid understanding of automation best practices and design patterns

Technical Skills

  • Programming/scripting in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python

  • REST API testing (Postman, Rest Assured)

  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting tools

Client Handling

  • Act as the go-to person for client discussions related to testing

  • Join client calls, demos, and planning meetings

  • Explain testing progress, bugs, and risks clearly

  • Ensure delivery aligns with client quality expectations

Communication & Collaboration

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both tech and non-tech audiences

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and guide junior QA/Automation Engineers

  • Plan, assign, and monitor QA tasks in the team

Agile & Continuous Improvement

  • Hands-on experience with Agile methods like Scrum or Kanban

  • Passion for continuous learning and trying new tools/techniques
