Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor for a key role with a leading developer in Sri Lanka. This position is based at the head office and involves overseeing cost planning and financial reporting for large-scale development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting across multiple development projects.
  • Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and contract packages.
  • Evaluate contractor and consultant claims, variations, and final accounts.
  • Support procurement with rate analysis, tender evaluations, and supplier cost benchmarking.
  • Certify interim payments, monitor cash flow, and maintain cost registers.
  • Advise on value engineering opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying (RICS or IQSSL qualification required). Chartered status is a significant advantage.
  • Experience: 07 – 12 years of experience in a similar capacity, specifically within property development or large-scale condominium construction.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent command of contract administration (FIDIC preferred) and proficiency in preparing accurate financial/cost reports.
  • Competencies: Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across procurement and finance teams.

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in condominium or mixed-use development projects.
  • Exposure to both pre-contract and post-contract phases within developer or civil contractor organizations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and reading construction drawings for measurement verification.
