Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a reputed automobile company. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of hands-on experience in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
• Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and audits.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Support management in business planning, cost analysis, and performance evaluation.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting systems.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team.

Key Requirements

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the automobile or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• High attention to detail and strong integrity in financial management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
