About the job Head of Sales
Role Summary:
The Head of Sales will lead revenue growth across EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), rooftop solar, ground-mounted projects, and energy storage solutions. This leadership role is responsible for driving customer acquisition, forming strategic partnerships, structuring commercial proposals, and managing the sales team to exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with growth objectives across C&I, utility-scale, and institutional segments.
- Lead a team of sales managers, setting KPIs and ensuring performance accountability.
- Identify and target high-tariff energy customers and ESG-conscious organizations.
- Build and manage relationships with EPC clients, developers, financial institutions, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to create compelling technical and commercial proposals.
- Drive lead generation through networking, partnerships, industry events, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline from lead qualification to deal closure, ensuring seamless handover to project execution teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to identify new opportunities.
- Establish forecasting and reporting systems to track performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Support product expansion efforts, including BESS, AI monitoring software, and hybrid energy solutions.
- Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
- 8-12 years in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in renewable energy, EPC, or power sector.
- Proven track record of leading sales teams and exceeding sales targets.
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with solar PV, inverters, battery storage (BESS), energy monitoring systems, and grid integration.
- Knowledge of local energy market regulations is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial acumen with expertise in structuring innovative business models (leasing, BOOT, PPAs, etc.).
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and sales analytics dashboards.
