ROLE OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a proven track record of managing financial operations in a construction and manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's overall goals and objectives
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations
- Oversee the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
- Manage the company's cash flow and financial transactions
- Conduct financial audits and make recommendations for process improvements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with operational goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, stakeholders, and vendors
- Train and mentor junior financial staff to ensure their professional growth and development
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Honours in accounting
- CA(SA) (advantage)
- SAIPA, SAICA, or other relevant professional certification.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a construction and manufacturing environment.
SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of success in financial management and strategic planning.
- Experience in risk management and financial instruments.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel.
