We currently have a position available for a qualified Metal Fabricator.
Main Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures, components, and equipment using various fabrication techniques.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural steel, stainless steel, and other metal materials in accordance with specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately complete fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Measure, mark, cut, grind, and prepare metal materials for fabrication and welding processes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, tolerances, and project requirements.
- Safely operate fabrication equipment, hand tools, grinders, welders, and other workshop machinery.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in metal fabrication and welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment and workshop machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience
Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Engineering Fabrication, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience may substitute for formal qualifications where applicable.
- Experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and workshop safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Annual Salary $76, 550.00 to $83,000.00
