Wood Machinist / Wood Trades Worker

Salary Range: $80,000 $100,000 per annum

ABG Projects is seeking a qualified and experienced Wood Machinist / Wood Trades Worker to join its dynamic construction team. This role is critical in executing complex timber-related tasks and supporting the company's strong reputation in delivering high-caliber construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret project blueprints, drawings, and prototypes to define timberwork specifications
• Operate woodworking machinery such as planers, saws, routers, and sanders
• Select and assess appropriate timber and materials based on quality and job requirements
• Use CAD software to develop technical drawings and production plans
• Oversee full production lifecycle from design to material selection, machining, assembly, and finishing
• Collaborate with construction teams, architects, and project managers for accurate execution
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
• Provide direct client interaction to ensure satisfaction with design and craftsmanship                                          

Skills And Qualifications

• Trade certification in wood machining, joinery, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in wood machining or similar trades
• At least 2 years of experience on construction sites
• High proficiency in CAD software for design and planning
• Extensive hands-on experience with various woodworking tools and machinery
• Strong eye for detail and precision
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
• Valid Driver's license and reliable transport
