PERMANENT FULL-TIME
TOTAL GROWER SERVICES BURNETT (TGS BURNETT), a key division of METAGEN, is seeking a driven MANAGER &SALES AGRONOMIST to lead our Bundaberg-based operations. You'll oversee a high-performing agronomy team, drive regional sales of Metagen products, and maintain close engagement with our valued grower clients.
Your Core Focus
- Lead and grow Metagen product sales in the Bundaberg region
- Manage crop-monitoring programs, ensuring timely and high-quality service
- Foster strong grower relationships and uncover new business opportunities
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate crop-monitoring visits, ensuring efficient and strategic field coverage
- Oversee QA of all crop-monitoring reports, tissue/soil analyses, and grower recommendations
- Develop and execute local sales strategies to achieve consistent revenue growth
- Mentor a team of 2 Agronomists and a part-time Market Growth Coordinator
- Personally maintain relationships with key clients and explore regional growth opportunities
- Manage stock control, invoicing accuracy, and operating budgets
- Enforce WHS compliance across all field and office activities
- Provide ongoing training and career development for agronomy staff
How Success Is Measured
- Year-on-year growth in Metagen product revenue
- 95%+ of reports delivered within 24 hours of monitoring
- Zero WHS incidents
- Positive net profit from TGS Burnett operations
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Entomology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years hands-on crop-monitoring experience, preferably in vegetables or tree crops
- Proven success in sales and stakeholder management
- Strong knowledge of crop diagnostics and a passion for mentoring junior agronomists
- Experience with Metagen products (desirable)
Working Conditions & Benefits
- Base: Bundaberg, QLD
- Schedule: 4 days in the field + 1 day office-based
- Salary: $100,000 per annum + Super
