Auto Electricians & Electricians (General)

Salary: $90,000 $110,000 per annum

Engineered Installations is a respected provider of electrical and automation solutions in Canning Vale, WA, servicing the industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Auto Electricians and Electricians (General) to join our growing team. Both roles are crucial to delivering high-quality electrical services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and the reliability of systems and equipment across various worksites.

AUTO ELECTRICIANS

As an Auto Electrician working on earth-moving equipment, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Electrical System Diagnosis:

o Identify and troubleshoot faults in wiring, sensors, and control systems.

o Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and onboard diagnostics.

2. Repair and Replacement:

o Repair or replace components like alternators, starter motors, wiring harnesses, and batteries.

3. Preventative Maintenance:

o Conduct regular inspections and system checks to prevent failures.

o Maintain detailed maintenance logs.

4. Reading and Interpreting Schematics:

o Work with complex wiring diagrams and modify systems for custom needs.

5. ECU Installation and Programming:

o Install and configure electronic control units (ECUs) for engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems.

6. Safety Compliance:

o Adhere to all safety regulations and install safety systems (e.g., alarms, sensors).

7. Collaboration:

o Work with mechanical engineers and other specialists to resolve cross-functional issues.

8. Field Emergency Repairs:

o Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field, often under challenging conditions.

9. Upgrading and Retrofitting:

o Retrofit older machinery with modern electrical components and features.

Requirements:

Trade qualification or minimum 3 years relevant experience.

At least 2 years working in a similar environment with earth-moving or heavy equipment.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in field and workshop environments.

ELECTRICIANS (GENERAL)

As an Electrician (General), your duties will focus on electrical installations, maintenance, and compliance within industrial and commercial settings:

1. Install, Maintain & Repair:

o Perform electrical work on buildings, switchboards, and industrial infrastructure.

o Work with electrical systems, lighting, motors, and power distribution.

2. System Inspections & Diagnostics:

o Inspect components such as circuit breakers and transformers.

o Use testing devices to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

3. Reading Plans & Schematics:

o Interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

o Ensure all installations meet Australian standards and site safety requirements.

5. Documentation & Communication:

o Maintain accurate records and collaborate with project managers and engineers.

Requirements:

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or equivalent).

Valid WA A-Class Electrical Licence.

Solid understanding of Australian electrical codes.

White Card and manual drivers licence.

Strong fault-finding ability and attention to safety.

Desirable:

Experience in industrial or construction environments.

Basic understanding of automation or control systems.
