Engineered Installations is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following full-time positions in Forrestdale, Western Australia: Electrical Engineers and Automotive Electricians.

1. Electrical Engineer


Responsibilities

Design, develop, and oversee electrical systems and installations for industrial and commercial projects

Ensure compliance with Australian standards, codes, and safety regulations

Coordinate with project managers, technicians, and clients to deliver engineering solutions

Conduct testing, commissioning, and validation of electrical systems

Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications

Provide engineering support across the full project lifecycle

Tasks

Designing electrical layouts, schematics, and control systems

Performing electrical load calculations and equipment sizing

Inspecting and evaluating installations for compliance and performance

Troubleshooting and resolving system faults

Supervising installation and maintenance activities

Liaising with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies

Reviewing and approving technical drawings and plans

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or closely related field or equivalent relevant experience

Skills

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles

Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD)

Understanding of Australian standards and compliance requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Experience

Minimum 3 years relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer

Experience in industrial or commercial electrical installations preferred

Proven experience in design, testing, and commissioning

2. Automotive Electrician


Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and electronic components in vehicles and mobile equipment

Diagnose electrical faults and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely

Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and manufacturer specifications

Provide technical support and advice to clients and internal teams

Maintain accurate service records and documentation


Tasks

Diagnosing and repairing faults in automotive electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, ignition, and electronic control systems

Installing electrical accessories such as alarms, GPS systems, lighting, and communications equipment

Testing and repairing alternators, starter motors, batteries, and charging systems

Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals

Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues

Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance

Replacing defective components and ensuring proper system functionality


Qualifications

Relevant trade qualification in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent experience


Skills

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals

Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and equipment

Good attention to detail and safety awareness

Strong communication and teamwork skills


Experience

Minimum 3 years relevant experience as an Automotive Electrician

Experience working with a range of vehicles and equipment (light, heavy, or specialised) preferred

Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical faults

Annual Salary: $100,000.00 to $140,000.00
