Annual Salary: $80k - $90k p.a.

Capital Veneering is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. This role involves the manufacture, assembly, and installation of high-quality cabinetry and custom joinery for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project documentation.
  • Manufacture, assemble, and install cabinetry and joinery to a high standard.
  • Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and static machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and fit joinery components and hardware.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager, Site Supervisor, clients, and other trades as required.
  • Supervise and assist in training apprentices and trades assistants.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, deadlines, and project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
  • Adhere to all WHS requirements, PPE standards, and company policies.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years' industry experience in cabinet making/joinery.
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically capable of manual labour and on-site installation work.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • MSF31113 Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent.
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
  • Construction Industry White Card.
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention certification.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence (manual preferred).
  • Pre-Start Medical Clearance required.

Desirable

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Additional construction or machinery tickets/licences.
