Job Description
The Training & Placement Officer will be responsible for program management, operations, execution, and marketing of all major programs of the Career Service Center including the in-house college programs, leading all engagement activities from the pre-program stage, through the program, and the post-program stage by monitoring, controlling and reporting progress.
As the main point of contact for program operations, you will play a key role in contributing to the success of all participating participants in academic institutions.
The Training & Placement Officer will work closely with the Partner's Success Manager. Some of the specific responsibilities include:
Placement Support
- Preparing job descriptions, creating advertising content and designing application forms
- Tracking application forms, pre-screening candidates, shortlisting and scheduling interviews
- Coordinating with candidates and companies regarding the hiring process
- Providing counseling on procedures to the applicants
- Preparing summary reports from the hiring process and placements
- Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of applicants information in electronic and digital format
Training Support
- Organize Skill Lab Orientation programs at different academic institutions
- Take full responsibility for enrolling students in the Career Service Tech platform by coordinating with different academic institutions
- Conducting various training programs at different academic institutions
- Work closely with subject experts, learning engagement coaches to revise and update the curriculums
- Proactively strengthen your knowledge and provide feedback on methodologies in the training process
- Oversee and manage the Digitally Enabled Platform for which training shall be provided
Student Engagement
- Facilitate and mentor student engagement and student-led activities in partner colleges
- Manage communication and logistics for trainings in all the partner colleges
- Identify and organize interaction programs on career opportunities in non-partner colleges
- Aid into the visibility and promotion of Skill Lab by periodic visit and interaction with the students
- Promote skill lab among diverse stakeholders and connect resources and institutions
- Ensure student enrolment on the Skill Lab Tech Platform in all partner colleges
Documentation
- Liaise with colleagues on field or external partners, and/or travel to field locations to source compelling images and videos that capture and effectively communicate the essence of the program
- Basic photography and video documentation of program events
- Ensure digital assets are systematically archived for future use
- Prepare all required reports and maintain a comprehensive set of records
Event Support
- Provide event support as required to the program/organization
- Lead branding for program events
Relationship Building and Management
- Conduct primary and secondary research about the Nepalese job market and educational institutions to identify market opportunities
- Generate lead and collate a database of potential partners
- Meet with potential partners when necessary to explore collaboration
- Develop a network of mentors, facilitators, experts and speakers and work with them to make the cohort companies successful.
- Forge partnerships with various ecosystem players including investors, corporates, academic institutions, govt., sponsors, service providers and others for collaboration and support. Maintain engagement with various stakeholders by developing and executing a rolling calendar of strategic events.
- Actively engage and work with the full Skill Lab team, jointly driving its growth, impact and success at all levels
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree with min 1 - 2 years of experiences working with youths
- Program Management skill is highly preferred as we will be operating in a large scale with multiple youths from numerous academic institutions
- Great writing skills with an ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
- Resilient and Flexibility to unlearn and learn and to work with individuals from different cultures
- Evidence of strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
- An individual who is a quick learner, agile and has an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with diverse groups including businesses, entrepreneurs, major corporations, universities, the public and economic development organizations
- Must have a driver's license and a vehicle of your own
