We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement for medical equipment and supplies, construction materials, home interior furnishings, and related services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in multi-category sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across all procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure goods and services across multiple categories: medical, construction, home interiors, and others as needed.
Develop and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and tender documentation.
Evaluate supplier proposals based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and compliance.
Negotiate terms and contracts with vendors to achieve the best value for the organization.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, especially for medical and safety-related items.
Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., project managers, healthcare staff, architects, and designers) to assess procurement needs and timelines.
Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and contract documentation.
Monitor inventory levels, order status, and delivery schedules to avoid project or operational delays.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage ongoing relationships.
Stay up to date with market trends and new product developments in relevant sectors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in multi-sector procurement in medical, construction, or interior procurement.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., healthcare certifications, construction codes, product safety standards).
Proficiency in procurement and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or equivalent).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
Procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are highly desirable.
Knowledge of local and international sourcing and logistics practices.
Experience with budgeting and cost control in procurement.
Familiarity with public procurement, donor-funded projects, or hospital/facility outfitting is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
Office-based role with regular visits to project sites, suppliers, and showrooms.
May require occasional travel for vendor assessments or product sourcing.
