About the Job: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant cum Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, statements, bank reconciliations, conducting cyclical audits, managing financial records, analysing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Strong interpersonal skills and a robust business acumen are essential.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Record Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Source and procure goods and services across multiple categories: medical, construction, home interiors, and others as needed.
  • Develop and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and tender documentation.
    Evaluate supplier proposals based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and compliance.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with vendors to achieve the best value for the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, especially for medical and safety-related items.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., project managers, healthcare staff, architects, and designers) to assess procurement needs and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and contract documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order status, and delivery schedules to avoid project or operational delays.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and new product developments in relevant sectors
  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  •  Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards in financial reporting and taxation.
  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time; provide advice on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Support financial management activities such as cash flow management, investment analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts based on financial analysis and business performance.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports as required for various business needs.
  • Organize and prepare all necessary tax documents.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven work experience as an Accountant cum Procurement officer in the UAE for a minimum of 3-5 years.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
    • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Financial Analysis: Experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification: CPA or ACCA certification is beneficial.
  • Availability: Immediate joining is preferred.

Location Requirements:

  • Commute: Ability to commute to Abu Dhabi (Required).
  • Relocate: Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi before starting work (Required).
