You will be a part of our rapidly expanding Infrastructure Design Department, which consists of structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines. This department is a multifaceted and cutting-edge division of Skyworks llc that focuses on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.
Through our integrated approach to design and construction, our multidisciplinary team collaborates to enhance schedule, control costs, and reduce risk. Our construction-focused engineers collaborate with our estimators and contractors to design innovative, constructible, and safety-conscious solutions. Skyworks llc clients benefit from the tried-and-true processes and instruments used to minimize project risk. We are an internal resource that supports company-wide initiatives. Our staff shares acquired knowledge, novel ideas, and best practices for all initiatives we support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formwork/falsework design, support of excavation systems, temporary bridges and crane trestles, heavy crane lift planning, Accelerated Bridge Construction techniques, personnel access and fall protection systems, erection and demolition planning, marine engineering, evaluation of existing structures' construction loads, etc. are all included in the design of temporary structures. Calculate and design structural elements
Verify the precision of the design drawings
Create design engineering cost estimates
Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze and design in accordance with current design codes, design criteria, and structural theories.
Understand the strength, mechanics, and behaviors of common construction materials in depth. Communicate and transmit structural designs and ideas to contract drawings in a transparent manner.
Assist in identifying design risks and planning risk mitigation
Other responsibilities may include project remote design engineering support, on-site inspections, training, and mentoring colleagues, among others.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
0-3 years of engineering experience eligibility in USA
Solid academic understanding of structural engineering
Experience with engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, and RISA-3D, is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with individuals at all organizational levels.
Developing interpersonal skills and the capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team environment Capability to travel/TDY and/or relocate based on business requirements
