Responsible for internal budgeting, monitoring all financial postings, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of management reporting. This role ensures the organisation has reliable financial data for decision-making and budget control, with a focus on internal financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the preparation and consolidation of departmental budgets and the overall group budget.
  2. Monitor all postings across the finance function to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper allocation.
  3. Perform regular variance analysis between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
  4. Ensure monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reporting is accurate and delivered on time.
  5. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  6. Maintain and improve budgeting and reporting templates, tools, and processes.
  7. Partner with Accounting / Finance Operations to ensure posting accuracy and compliance.
  8. Identify and resolve discrepancies or posting issues promptly.
  9. Provide insights on cost trends, spending patterns, and budget adherence.
  10. Assist leadership with scenario modelling and internal financial planning.
  11. Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
  12. Support audits and provide necessary documentation related to budget and postings.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualification preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA).
  2. 5–8 years of experience in FP&A or financial control functions.
  3. Strong experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  4. Solid understanding of accounting principles and journal postings.
  5. Proficient in ERP systems (preferably Business Central) and Excel.
  6. Detail-oriented with high accuracy in reporting.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  9. Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing cycles.
  10. Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
