The Data Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to support clinical, operational, and strategic decision-making across St Luke's ElderCare. The role will work closely with IT, operations, nursing homes, and HQ functions to develop dashboards, automate reporting processes, and improve data-driven decision-making.

This role supports SLEC's digital transformation initiatives by ensuring data integrity, integration, and accessibility across systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyse operational, clinical, and financial data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities
  • Provide actionable insights to support management decision-making and service improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis on operational issues (e.g., utilisation, staffing, service delivery gaps)

2. Dashboard & Reporting Development

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI) for leadership and operational teams
  • Automate recurring reports to reduce manual data preparation
  • Standardise KPIs across departments to ensure consistency in reporting

3. Data Integration & Management

  • Support integration of systems (e.g., care systems, finance systems) to ensure data consistency
  • Work with IT teams to establish a single source of truth for key datasets
  • Ensure high data quality through validation, cleansing, and governance practices

4. Operational & Business Support

  • Partner with stakeholders (clinical, operations, finance, HQ) to understand reporting requirements
  • Translate business needs into technical data requirements and analytics solutions
  • Support ongoing projects such as system integrations and process improvements

5. Compliance & Data Governance

  • Ensure compliance with PDPA and health information act requirements
  • Adhere to organisational policies and regulatory standards in handling sensitive healthcare data
  • Implement data access controls and maintain data confidentiality

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or similar role
  • Experience in healthcare, eldercare, or social services sector is an advantage
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., PDPA, health information act) preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with database querying
  • Experience with Excel (advanced), data modelling, and data cleaning
  • Knowledge of ETL processes or data integration tools is an advantage
