About the job Laundry Staff

We are looking for a dedicated Laundry Staff to join our team at St Lukes ElderCare Residence. In this role, you will ensure the comfort and well-being of residents by maintaining clean and fresh clothing and linen. You will manage the full cycle of laundry operations, from collection to delivery, while ensuring hygiene, equipment maintenance, and proper documentation are consistently upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Collect soiled clothes and linen, wash, dry, sort, and deliver them back to households
  • Record and report clothing or linen requiring replacement, including inventory management
  • Perform terminal cleaning of washing machines and dryers at the end of each day
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of all laundry equipment is carried out with proper documentation
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards within the laundry area
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with washing machine and dryer operations, including simple maintenance
  • Willing to work rotating shifts
  • Basic IT knowledge to support documentation and tracking
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and carry out assigned duties reliably
