About the job Care Associate
We are seeking a passionate and resourceful Care Associate to join our Nursing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of quality eldercare services by ensuring safe, competent, and compassionate assistance to elders. You will focus on providing daily care support and assisting nurses in clinical tasks that enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our elders. You will take ownership of direct care duties such as personal hygiene support, safety, cleanliness, and meal service while working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain a high standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to elders
- Support patients in daily living activities including hygiene, meals, and mobility
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control within the household
- Assist nurses with examinations, procedures, and clinical protocols within competency
- Monitor elders health status and promptly escalate concerns to nurses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of elders conditions and care provided
- Assist elders in achieving rehabilitation goals in collaboration with therapy teams
- Care for and maintain equipment, reporting defects and ensuring proper use of supplies
Requirements
- Nursing qualification, basic caregiving certificate, or similar discipline
- Experience in nursing homes or hospitals
- Competence in English; ability to converse in Mandarin or dialects is an advantage
- Willing to work rotating shifts
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills with ability to work independently
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
