About the job Nurse Clinician (Infection Control)
We are seeking a passionate and resourceful Nurse Clinician (Infection Control) to join our Nursing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding patient and staff wellbeing by leading infection prevention and control programs in line with Ministry of Health regulations and organisational standards. You will focus on monitoring, implementing, and evaluating infection control practices while providing guidance, training, and audits to ensure a safe healthcare environment. You will take ownership of policy development, outbreak management, and staff education, working closely with clinical teams to strengthen compliance and reduce risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards
- Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and report findings to relevant committees
- Lead outbreak investigations and coordinate containment measures when cases arise
- Provide training and education to staff on infection control practices, hand hygiene, and use of personal protective equipment
- Audit compliance with infection control measures and recommend improvements to address gaps
- Advise on infection control considerations during procurement, renovation, and facility planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practices in environmental hygiene and waste management
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including MOH inspections
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing and registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards, MOH guidelines, and audit processes
- Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills to influence practice across teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to respond effectively during outbreaks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data reporting
