Position: Security Guard
Job Type: Full-time and Part-Time Available
Available Shifts: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7:30am; Sat - Sun 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7:30am (flexible schedules if needed)
Starting Salary : $18/hour and up DOE

What We Ask:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under regular supervision, handle interior and exterior security through first-hand observation and the use of on-site cameras, while maintaining safety of staff, clients, and visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
The essential functions include:
- Utilizing established protocol, greet patients and guests
- Following protocol, search patients upon returning to the house from being off-site
- Perform scheduled and random checks of designated areas throughout the facility to check for any security breaches
- Confiscate contraband as defined by company policy, handling the items and reporting them according to policy
- Utilize a variety of de-escalation techniques, defuse potentially aggressive situations with patients
- Provide access badge to visitors
- Ensure doors and windows are locked as required by facility guidelines
- Immediately report suspicious activity to the local police department, as well as management
- Maintain a professional and effective relationship with the local police and fire departments
- Assist the maintenance staff in securing an area during a maintenance emergency
- Clean/tidy common spaces when housekeeping/custodial staff is not on shift
- Collaborate with other Security staff members to ensure the facility is safe at all times
- Report potential patient issues to Program Manager
- Follow all company and government policies
- Work proactively and cooperatively with co-workers, staff, and management
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other business events
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required; and
- One year experience in the security field or a certificate indicating completion of a security course;
Licensure/Certification - Employees are responsible for maintaining individual certifications as required by job function or by law and provide verification and recertification when requested by management:
- Current BLS certification; and
- Current guard card or ability to acquire one within 10 days of hire.

- May necessitate working in busy and loud environment
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
- May need to bend, stoop, twist , and pick up heavy materials for short periods of time
