Position: Housekeeper
Job Type: Full-time, 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexible as needed)
Starting Annual Salary : $18/hour and up DOE

What We Ask:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the assigned facility. This position ensures STTHS operates a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility that meets industry and funding source standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Thoroughly clean facility including lobbies, corridors, stairways, offices, meeting rooms, staff lounge, eating areas, and kitchen
- Clean floors, furniture, and drapes
- Clean or polish walls, ceilings, windows, sills, and building fixtures
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using cleaning solutions
- Dust furniture, walls, and other equipment
- Gather and empty trash
- Daily cleaning of all facility restrooms, including restocking of paper products and hand soap as needed
- Daily inspection and cleaning of the kitchen, wiping down counters as needed
- Assist in building security, locking all doors and windows, and shutting off interior lights when working the late shift
- Maintain inventory of supplies, informing management when orders need to be placed
- Assist with set-up and cleanup of major events and with the pick-up, loading, and unloading of supplies and donations
- Communicate regularly with staff and appropriate management concerning needed repairs
- Follow all company and government policies relevant to company operations
- Follow all COVID policies including cleaning, screening, and other protocols
- Work proactively and cooperatively with co-workers and management
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other business events
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of Housekeeper or Custodian experience in a commercial building highly desired
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs)
- Bilingual Spanish skills desired but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office environment
- May necessitate working in busy and loud environment
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
- May need to bend, stoop, twist , and pick up heavy materials for short periods of time
