Starting Salary : $18/hour and up DOE

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under normal supervision, this position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients in a manner and condition that meets company standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
The essential functions include:
- Pick up, transport, and deliver residents and supplies to various locations in the Southern California area
- Provide transportation services on a schedule or by ad hoc request
- Following all appropriate laws, operate vehicle safely, obeying traffic laws and agency regulations, including not texting or talking on the phone when the vehicle is being operated
- Secure the vehicle in its assigned spot at the site. When parking somewhere else, secure the vehicle as safely as possible to prevent damage and/or theft
- As needed, assist residents with entry or exit of the vehicle and/or assist in lifting patients who are not ambulatory, semi-ambulant, or have severe handicaps
- Load and unload supplies as assigned
- Properly secure loads for safe transport and to prevent damage
- Verify count and condition of materials loaded and unloaded; report damage, shortages, or overages to supervisor
- Complete all pre-and post-trip inspections; report any needs for repair or maintenance
- Maintain an acceptable driving record per agency guidelines and report any accidents, tickets, or moving violations immediately to supervisor
- Work with volunteers and other staff to meet agency expectations, particularly as it relates to patient interactions
- Provide feedback to the treatment team about each patient's participation, progress, or regression
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and associated records
- Follow all company and government policies relevant to STTHS operations
- Work proactively and cooperatively with co-workers, staff, and management
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other business events
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years’ related experience or training preferred
- Detail oriented with good time management, organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain a high level confidentiality
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy
- Able to learn quickly and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and with minimal to no supervision
- Able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands

- Office environment
- May necessitate working in busy and loud environment
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
- May need to bend, stoop, twist , and pick up heavy materials for short periods of time
