Job Description:

The Account Executive position is a pioneering sales role, working alongside the Head of Sales, Marketing, and the senior leadership team. You will be tasked with driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, and building a robust pipeline. This role demands immediate impact and requires experience in new business development within a start-up or early-stage scale-up environment, ideally within the virtual or hybrid event industry or MarTech. A focus on consultative selling is essential, understanding clients' end goals and demonstrating how digital event technology can deliver measurable results. You need the ability to gain a deep understanding of client business objectives and to articulate the value and ROI of the technology solutions offered across sectors like Higher Education, Pharma, and SMB-Enterprise Tech Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales cycle to achieve revenue targets and expand market share, including demand generation, pipeline, and deal management.
  • Build and maintain robust client relationships, focusing on understanding and achieving their business objectives.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting, with a focus on outcomes and results.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify opportunities for market expansion.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and work internally to ensure client success.


  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with an emphasis on outcome-based selling, within a start-up or scale-up SaaS business.
  • A proven record of solution-selling and value-selling strategies with an average contract value over £10,000.
  • Experienced in pipeline building and reliable sales forecasting, working with a sales methodology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagement and industry events.
