Compliance & Quality System Manager

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with international certifications, customer requirements, and industry standards relevant to smart sensors and industrial automation.
  • Lead and manage the global Quality Management System (QMS) documentation supporting smart sensor design, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Ensure adherence to global regulatory and product compliance requirements, including POP, REACH, RoHS, SCIP, ChemSherpa, Conflict Minerals, Prop 65, Russian Steel, WEEE, GDPR, GSDP, CSDDD, PPWR, and other automation-related regulations across the product lifecycle and supply chain.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, and R&D teams to implement compliance requirements for smart factory and automation solutions.
  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective compliance implementation and risk mitigation.
  • Manage and issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC) for smart sensor products and automation solutions.
  • Develop and execute global audit plans, including ISO 9001, UL, DNV, CCC, TÜV, and other certification and 
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives across global manufacturing and smart factory operations.
  • Maintain and update audit records, compliance databases, and reporting systems.
  • Define, manage, and continuously improve calibration processes and measurement systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and automation-industry requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Quality Management, Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, or Mechatronics), or Business Management.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality and compliance management within a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.

  • Experience supporting smart sensors, industrial automation, electronics manufacturing, or smart factory solutions is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality, product safety, and compliance standards for automation and sensor-based products.

  • Proven experience in managing global audits, certifications, customer audits, and regulatory reporting.

  • Strong analytical, auditing, and documentation skills with a structured and risk-based mindset.

  • Ability to identify compliance risks in complex automation environments and recommend practical, scalable solutions.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems; SAP experience will be an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and teamwork capabilities.
