About the job Store Keeper
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store all incoming materials, ensuring proper labeling and storage conditions
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the inventory system
- Organize and manage the storage area to optimize space and ensure easy access to materials
- Conduct regular stock checks and ensure the accuracy of inventory through physical audits
- Issue materials to the production team as per their requirements and ensure proper documentation
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when replenishment is required
- Ensure the proper rotation of stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) method to reduce wastage
- Pack and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring all products are properly labeled and documented
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment that complies with safety regulations
- Report discrepancies, damages, or issues with inventory to the management team for resolution
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or storekeeping, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software
- Strong ability to monitor and maintain accurate inventory records
- Capable of organizing and managing materials effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required
- Ability to resolve stock discrepancies and other inventory-related issues
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to storage and material handling
