Responsibilties

  • Lead the technical pricing, reserving, and risk analysis functions across insurance products.

  • Oversee financial forecasting and ensure compliance with regulatory valuation and solvency requirements.

  • Guide product development strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and internal profitability targets.

  • Support the implementation and compliance of IFRS 17 reporting standards.

  • Conduct experience studies (e.g., claims, persistency, expenses) and recommend strategic assumptions.

  • Provide input into reinsurance optimization, capital planning, and business risk models.

  • Communicate complex risk and financial insights to executive leadership and the board.

  • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.

  • Masters degree is an added advantage.

  • Fellowship from a recognized actuarial body (e.g., IFoA, SOA, IAI) and eligibility to sign-off under IRCSL regulations.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in pricing, reserving, and risk analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of RBC, IFRS 17, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Proficient in Prophet and data tools like Excel, R, or Python.

  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
