About the job Manager - Costing
Responsibilities:
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across the factory by identifying and implementing effective cost-control strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Participate actively in daily and weekly operational reviews, delivering timely and accurate financial data to support production teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Assist in managing Factory Fixed Overhead (FFOH) budgets including budget development, monitoring, and monthly/annual reporting.
- Lead Total Delivered Cost (TDC) initiatives to ensure annual cost-saving targets are achieved through sustainable practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of period-end closing processes in compliance with Costing Standards.
- Prepare and deliver the Factory Annual Cost Estimate (ACE) aligned with business objectives and financial targets.
- Promote a culture of financial discipline and cost awareness across the factory by initiating and supporting financial improvement programs.
- Conduct internal audits to identify and close costing-related gaps, ensuring full compliance with internal control systems and costing standards.
Requiremets:
- A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Business Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Fully/partially qualified in professional qualifications like ACCA, CA, CIMA, or CMA.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 2-3 years in manufacturing costing within a manufacturing setup.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and costing systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and decision-support analytics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala, with strong communication abilities.
- Initiative-driven, adaptable, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
