Chief Operating Officer (Three Wheeler Business)

Our client, a leading distributor and finance company for automobiles and related products based in Dubai, is expanding its operations to Sri Lanka and is establishing a branch in Colombo. This opportunity is for the Sri Lanka branch.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of the three-wheeler business across Sri Lanka.

• Execute Board- and CEO-approved strategies through operational plans and KPIs.

• Oversee sales operations, dealer/distributor network, and market coverage.

• Manage supply chain, imports (CKD/CBU/spares), logistics, and inventory optimization.

• Ensure strong after-sales service, warranty control, and customer satisfaction.

• Own operational P&L, cost control, productivity improvement, and margin enhancement.

• Ensure full regulatory, statutory, and audit compliance.

• Lead operational teams, governance, risk management, and business continuity planning.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering / Automotive/ Operation / Business Management.

• MBA or Postgraduate qualification preferred.

• 15+ years experience in automotive / three-wheeler / commercial vehicle industry.

• Minimum 5 years in senior operations leadership (COO / Operations Head / Plant Head).

• Strong exposure to three-wheeler sales, assembly/manufacturing, or distribution.

• Proven operational P&L and cost management expertise.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and execution capabilities.

• Deep knowledge of automotive regulations, compliance, and supply chain operations.
