R&D Chemist

Our client is a Singapore-based, regional provider of water treatment and filtration solutions, providing customized solutions for both residential, industrial, and commercial applications. With over a decade of experience in 3 continents, the company delivers customized purification technologies, including reverse osmosis, UV, and softening systems, which are supported by strong technical expertise and after-sales service. Our client has now expanded their operations to Thailand and is looking for an experienced R&D Chemist to assist with their product development process.

The R&D Chemist will be responsible for leading product development efforts in water treatment and agrochemical formulations. The role involves the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and formulation to managing the development process to meet and exceed customer needs and industry standards. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

• Lead the development of new products from concept to launch, including formulation and performance testing for water treatment and agrochemical applications. 
• Develop and implement product and manufacturing strategies that align with business goals.
• Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure product quality. 
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, ISO standards, CGM practices, ERP systems, and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including support materials for internal and external use. 
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, both within the company and when working externally. 
• Support additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or higher in Chemical/ Material/ Petrochemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the R&D or Product Development role in a chemical or related industries is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai. 
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and drive collaborative results.
• Comfortable working in an international environment with global customers and stakeholders.
• Capable of managing multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Highly analytical, self-motivated, results-driven, with excellent problem-solving, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Skilled relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team at various levels.
• Proficient in converting customer requirements into viable and effective solutions.
