One of their business units is at the forefront of innovation, supporting leading semiconductor manufacturers with critical solutions in power, automation, safety, and operational efficiency. With primary production facilities based in North America, the company has expanded into Asia by establishing its first manufacturing site in Thailand. Currently, they are seeking an experienced NPI Design Engineer to oversee New Product Introduction process.


The sought after candidate will report to the Project Manager and work in a small NPI team to oversee the New Product Introduction Project for the companys new assembly plant in Thailand. The key responsibility is to be responsible for conveying technical updates and instructions to production team. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to assemble products.
  • Modify designs to correct errors or implement changes.
  • Communicate technical updates and instructions to production staff and engineers.
  • Assemble advanced product solutions as directed by management.
  • Lead production floor teams collaborating on specific projects.
  • Lead and direct project teams.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and evaluations on finished products.
  • Offer suggestions to enhance quality control processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for design issues and propose fixes.
  • Develop detailed technical work instructions.
  • Identify and resolve safety, quality, and production challenges.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean workspace by setting an example and helping supervisors enforce standards.
  • Follow, teach, and support compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures.
  • Collaborate with support departments such as Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse to meet production deadlines.
  • Help train, mentor, and coordinate team members to complete production tasks.
  • Supervise daily operations within assigned departments, offering guidance as needed.
  • Ensure tools and hardware supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Support supervisors/managers in planning and organizing department layout.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in New Product Introduction, experience in semiconductors or electrical assembly or manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, assign responsibilities, and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving typical production problems.
  • Certificates in Lean, Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Good English communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally is essential.
