For years they have been supplying electric cars, battery energy storage, and related products and services, our client has served almost all continents worldwide and is recognized as one of the world's most valuable companies. With their recent entrance into the Thailand market, and an overwhelming amount of demand, our client is looking for Supplier Industrialization Engineer to join the company.
The Supplier Industrialization Engineer will ensure the timely delivery of components from suppliers into the production processes. This involves leading all industrialization activities at suppliers, from initial development through mass production qualification. Additionally, they will act as the link between regional suppliers and internal teams, driving improvements in supplier manufacturing processes, quality control, scalability, and cost. The overall duties and responsibilities of this sought-after position are outlined as follows:
- Lead and manage all industrialization activities within the supply chain for assigned suppliers.
- Develop, oversee, audit, and improve supplier manufacturing and assembly techniques, as well as quality control processes, across all project phases.
- Spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) at supplier locations, driving improvements in scalability, cost-efficiency, and quality.
- Ensure clear and effective communication of technical requirements between suppliers and internal teams.
- Audit suppliers to guarantee their capability to meet the companys standards for part performance, delivery timelines, and reliability standards.
- Work closely with internal teams to establish the optimal performance specifications and supplier metrics.
- Track, lead, and improve supplier manufacturing processes and prepare for new product introductions and design modifications.
- Guide suppliers in creating highly reliable processes and procedures to ensure efficient and consistent production of top-quality products.
- Verify that supplier coorective actions for design process issues are effective, sustainable, and applied broadly across their operations.
- Provide recommendations on new or alternative materials to improve design, ease of manufacturing, or lower costs.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to a degree level in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Industrial/ Material/ Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Thai and English.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an assembly plant environment support processes like plastics. Machining, casting, stamping, harnesses, or PCBA in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering capacity.
- Demonstrated experience with Quality Systems and PPAP/APQP methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection procedures.
- Proven leadership skills, including prior experience and managing safety-critical components.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to direct supplier activities at a management level.
- Ability to plan and execute projects effectively using project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, with strong team-building skills for collaborating with suppliers, peers, and other departments.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex technical issues. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis is essential.
- Proficient in data analysis and the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, with a willingness to travel frequently (averaging 50-60%, potentially with short notice).
