Location: Northern Norway (multiple project sites)

Role Overview

As Exploration Geologist, you will lead and manage exploration activities across multiple sites in Northern Norway. You'll be responsible for planning and executing field programs, supervising drilling operations, and interpreting geological data to guide discovery efforts. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and the chance to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead geological mapping, geochemical sampling, QA/QC procedures, and diamond drilling programs.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety, environmental, and cultural standards.
  • Design and manage near-mine, district-scale, and regional exploration programs.
  • Interpret geophysical data and recommend additional surveys where appropriate.
  • Oversee geological and technical resources, including digital data management.
  • Implement and monitor sample and assay quality control protocols.
  • Supervise and mentor junior geologists and field staff.
  • Report directly to the VP Exploration and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Provide technical expertise in geological interpretation, 3D modeling, GIS, and mineralization visualization.
  • Apply knowledge of structurally controlled, sediment-hosted copper and VMS exploration models.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Geology (Masters in Ore Geology is a plus).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mineral exploration, preferably in base metals.
  • Strong background in structural geology and mineral systems targeting.
  • Proficiency in Leapfrog Geo, QGIS, ioGAS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience supervising drilling, sampling, geophysical/geochemical surveys, and contractor management.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC protocols for drilling, sampling, and resource modeling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic field environment.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Bilingual in Norwegian and English is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote field locations.
