Coachbuilder (Day Shift / Night Shift)
Working Hours
Day Shift:
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Early finish at 3:30pm on Fridays
Night Shift:
Monday – Thursday, 7:45pm – 6:00am (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Key Objectives
You will work either within a specialist bodybuilding team or on a production line, supporting the build of a finished trailer or vehicle body to a high standard of quality. The role involves working with a variety of materials including hardwoods, fiberglass, steel, and aluminium, using technical drawings and specifications.
A high level of skill is required to carry out tasks such as assembly, drilling, cutting, riveting, welding, and grinding while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Working from technical drawings and specification sheets
- Operating both independently and as part of a team to meet production targets
- Following instructions from team members and senior colleagues
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and regulations
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the production area
- Minimising waste through efficient use and disposal of materials and consumables
- Consistently maintaining a safe working environment
The business requires employees to adopt a flexible approach to work. From time to time, you may be required to carry out additional duties, with full training provided as needed.
Key Skills & Experience
This role is suited to a hands-on, organised, proactive, and self-motivated individual. Ideal candidates will have:
- Hands-on manufacturing experience, ideally within commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing
- Experience assembling high-quality components using materials such as hardwoods, fiberglass, steel, and aluminium
- Proven ability using a range of hand tools
- Experience reading and working from technical drawings
- Ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production targets
