Junior Client Manager – Practice Based | £32,000 – £40,000 DOE | Stafford | Hybrid + Flexitime
I'm working with a well-established accountancy practice in Stafford that is looking to appoint a Junior Client Manager. This role suits someone with solid practice experience who is either part-qualified, nearly qualified, or newly qualified and ready to take on more responsibility.
You'll gain direct client exposure, involvement in tax planning, and a clear route into a full Client Manager position. The team is technically strong and development-focused — they prioritise accuracy, capability, and long-term growth.
The Role:
As Junior Client Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Acting as the main point of contact for your own client portfolio, handling day-to-day queries and supporting tax planning with the partners.
- Reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Working directly with clients to resolve queries and finalise accounts.
- Reviewing VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns prepared by in-house teams.
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team.
- Building the technical and client-management skills required to progress into a full Client Manager role.
Requirements
- ACCA or ICAEW nearly qualified, or newly qualified.
- Strong background in an accountancy practice environment.
- Solid technical knowledge with an organised, practical approach.
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients.
- Ambitious, proactive, and committed to progressing.
Package & Benefits
- £32,000 for part-qualified, rising up to £40,000 depending on level and experience.
- Flexi-time: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.
