About the job Telecoms Project Manager
Purpose.
The Telecoms Project Manager provides leadership in project development, planning, implementation and monitoring of the Telecoms Operations and Projects contract by providing day-to-day management to achieve high quality results in line with acceptable project norms relevant to the established goals, objectives and operating policies.
Requirements.
- Degree in Telecommunication or related field.
- Experience in Oil&Gas Engineering Sector and Managerial role for 5+ years.
- Experience in remote management
- Proven experience in training, including development of training materials.
- Strong communication skills with ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively with senior members of the Head managers as well as with field practitioners.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Understands work from a process point of view and uses measurement and accountability systems effectively.
- Demonstrates openness and transparency.
- Knowledge of business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent Negotiations, verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability of PMP (Project management) is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

Responsibilities.
- Support Line Manager in overall management of the Telecoms department.
- Coordinate operations and projects with other Departments
- Manage daily activities, including staffing, scheduling, and customer interactions.
- Maintain Training Department by establishing and tracking calendars for newly hired technicians and train existing core staff to develop in their career.
- Within level of authority place orders for equipment, supplies and materials.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on budget, costs and income.
- Handle routine tasks and customer problems and escalate unusual or high priority items.
- Develop productive, profitable and achievement oriented working environment.
- Address operational issues and concerns in a timely fashion.
- Supervise technical team to ensure operational excellence and excellent customer services.
- Educate operations team on best practices, company policies and service excellence standards.
- Timely report on any projects risks.
- Evaluate inspection reports and service tickets and prepare repair invoices.
- Generate operational reports for management as needed.
- Develop, implement and review departmental processes
- Ensuring staff working on processes are happy and operating efficiently by ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
- Coordinate and assist (if needed) in routine maintenance and repair works for the equipment.
Project Management:
- Assure that assigned projects are properly planned and implemented to meet agreed upon results, Act as a PROJECT MANAGER for the assigned projects and take ownership of all project phases (Initiation-Planning-Execution-Monitoring & Control-Close) by following next:
- Understand the business case and participate during initiation phase.
- Be a part of the definition phase for project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical ability to deliver the scope requested.
- Leading project planning sessions.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Prepare and distribute related to the project artifacts needed for Project Plan such as:
- Schedule Plan
- Procurement Plan
- Cost Plan
- WBS (Work Breakdown Structure / Iterations / Stories)
- Communication Plan
- Risk Management Plan
- Procurement Plan
- Drive preparation of MoS, WP, FAT, SAT, BOM and drawings for projects.
- Support delivery of the services avoiding gold-plating, and any project managerial mean of waste.
- Monitor progress and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
- Constantly seek for an opportunity to decrease the running cost.
- Keep project owner updated with the actual progress and forecast.
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
DOCUMENTATION:
- Assist in preparation and execution of orientation and training plans
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct employee compensation
- Prepare and submit monthly invoicing reports on staffing operations
- Maintain and control annual support orders for Healthcare, SME and Ad-hock support
- Confirm/approve vacation times to minimize potential impact to ROTA.
- Assist with filing of timesheets or documentation as required or requested.
- a) Review Timesheets for accurate services.
- b) Review timesheets for accurate hours and compare to schedule
- c) Familiarize self to client and staff charts so documentation can be located upon request and delivered if needed.
- d) Prepares letters and other correspondence as directed.
- e) Assemble mailings and send them in a timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
