Introduction to the Role:

Are you passionate about telecommunications and solving technical challenges in demanding environments? We are looking for an experienced Telecom Technician to support the reliable operation of telecom systems across our onshore and offshore remote sites. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining critical communication infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting project activities, and ensuring uninterrupted telecom services while adhering to the highest safety standards.

What you'll do?

  • Perform routine and breakdown maintenance of telecom systems and equipment.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support for field telecom systems and assist in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct daily inspections and health checks of communication systems.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and prepare maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities that may impact interconnected services.
  • Manage telecom spare parts, consumables, and inventory records.
  • Maintain software backups and update telecom databases and phone lists.
  • Support commissioning, handover, and modification activities for telecom projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure safe execution of work.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and ensure effective shift handovers.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased reliability of telecom services.

Who are we looking for?

Must to have

Hard skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of telecom systems with the ability to troubleshoot independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with:
    • Fiber Optic systems
    • UHF/VHF Radio systems
    • Telephone Exchange systems
    • Public Address systems
    • CCTV systems
    • TV and Audio Entertainment systems
    • Data Communication technologies
    • LAN/WAN networks
    • PC workstations
    • Hazardous area equipment
  • Understanding of engineering processes and procedures (EQ, MOC, GOC).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and complete red-line markups.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and data networking concepts.
  • Experience using PC-based telecom equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).

  • Laser Safety Awareness certification.
  • Protection in Hazardous Areas and EX Certification.
  • Experience with Maximo or similar maintenance management systems.
  • Previous experience supporting offshore operations.
  • Experience participating in commissioning and handover activities.
